It's a one-of-a-kind dish that I sometimes want to eat. "Kotteri ramen." The soup is made with chicken bones and vegetables boiled down to a mushy consistency and has an addictive taste. I've only had "Assari Ramen" once so far. (Laughs) The menu has changed little by little since then. However, the lineup of "Kotteri ramen" and "Assari Ramen" remains the same.
Due to the recent depreciation of the yen, the cost of raw materials such as wheat has increased, resulting in higher prices. Tough for ramen lovers. Twenty years ago, a set of ramen, gyoza, and rice cost around 800 yen. Nowadays it costs 1200 yen. It has become difficult for office workers to eat a ramen set for lunch.
Stores near Akihabara
here are two Tenkaichippin stores. Along Chuo-dori Street, near Suehirocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Ameyoko from Okachimachi Station to Ueno Station. 1 store in Kanda. Each has different characteristics. I think Akihabara has a storefront that is typical of Akihabara. I think there are a lot of otaku customers. I think there are a lot of people in Okachimachi who come to Ameyoko for shopping and tourists. It may change depending on the time of day.
Until a year ago, there was one store in Kanda, which was crowded with businessmen. It's a shame that it closed because it had an old-fashioned Tenka-Ippin atmosphere, and I loved it.
Order system
It's a chain store, so the turnover is fast, and I don't think there's that many lines of customers. If you wait in line, you may want to go to another restaurant nearby or come back later.
Ordering is done using a tablet-type touch panel. Accounting is paid in arrears. After you finish eating, take your receipt and pay at the register.
My way of order pattern
There are patterns in which you can order just the ramen items, such as the classic rich ramen and light ramen, and patterns in which you can order fried rice, gyoza, fried chicken, and rice together. When I'm hungry, I go for the set menu. It's a stand-alone item when you're eating out or refreshing your palate after drinking alcohol.
My way of eating “Kotteri ramen”
First, take a sip of the soup and check the thickness. Next, add the pepper and ramen sauce and scoop up the noodles to coat the entire soup. If it's your first time, be sure to check the thickness of the ramen sauce. After eating about half of it, add mustard miso to make it spicy. If you have chive garlic, add it before that. Drink all the soup. If you have gyoza or fried chicken, eat half of it and then dip it into the soup. It seems that some people add rice and drink it all down with ramen ojiya. I'm not a fan of adding rice. Ramen sauce also goes well with fried rice.
My favorite topping
Not only green onions, menma, and chashu pork, but also kimchi goes well with rich ramen! I like boiled eggs, but I think a lighter type of ramen would go better with it. This is my personal opinion. Among the toppings I've eaten in the past, I liked white onions. White onions cut into strips. It was the best.
old menu
Ajisane ramen, Shiosai ramen, traditional karaage, etc. Once it's gone, you'll want to eat it. However, my addiction to rich ramen was so strong that I couldn't order any other ramen. I've eaten it once. In the past, franchise restaurants were strong, and while the taste varied, I think there were many restaurants that served distinctive set meals and menus.
If you're eating it for the first time or can't eat oily foods anymore, be careful when ordering rich foods!
